Edinburgh Photographic Society is the largest and oldest Photographic Society in Scotland. We have over 200 members and run a full syllabus of talks, workshops, exhibitions and competitions each year. We have special interest groups in Nature, Creative, Fine Art and Critique nights. Our on-line activity during the current pandemic has attracted visitors and new international members. Our premises, which we have owned since 1954, are in Edinburgh’s New Town in the centre of Edinburgh. We have a dark room and studios.
We run one of the oldest photographic exhibitions in the world, the first “Edinburgh International” exhibition was held in 1861. The Edinburgh International (print only) attracts around 3000 visitors, in normal times, during the Edinburgh International festivals in August each year.  We look forward to welcoming you the next time you venture to Edinburgh.
